Once there was a child named Wangnuni. Wangnuni had wonderful eyes that could make anything look larger.

An ant’s footprints — larger! Stars behind clouds — larger! In Wangnuni’s eyes, the small world looked enormous. Bigger, even bigger!

Wangnuni wanted to know so many things in the world. Why did dinosaurs disappear? How wide is space? Who lives in the deepest sea?

Page 5
But even when questions rose, Wangnuni could not find the book and felt stuck. The library had so, so many books.

Page 6
“Dinosaur book, where are you….” Wangnuni paced the stacks and let out a heavy sigh. His chest tightened.

They even looked with the librarian. But the dinosaur book seemed to be hiding and would not turn up. “I’m sorry, Wangnuni. There are so many books even I can’t find them all.”

‘Then with my eyes!’ In a rush Wangnuni opened both eyes wide~. Letters rushed in all at once and spun-spun! “Dizzy…!” Wangnuni plopped down.

Page 9
Wangnuni took a deep breath. Whoo~ haa~. ‘Not in a hurry — slowly. One at a time.’ Eyes open again, the heart grew quiet.

Bigger, even bigger, slowly! Then, among countless books, the tiny letters on the spines came into focus one by one. There it was—the book he had been looking for.

Page 11
“Found it! Secrets of Dinosaurs!” Reading the book, Wangnuni learned one answer after another. So glad, so proud.

From that day, whenever a question rose, Wangnuni found books with those big eyes and learned new knowledge. Mysteries of space, ocean journeys, inventions and discoveries!

The librarian smiled. “Wangnuni, you are our library’s treasure. The books are waiting for you.”

Wangnuni loved the library so much. ‘I want to live in the library! The whole world is here.’

Now friends come to Wangnuni when they have questions. “Wangnuni, where’s the robot book?” Bigger, even bigger! “Third shelf over there!”

Page 16
Wangnuni even made a ‘Library Treasure Map’ for friends. Dinosaurs are green stars, space blue stars, robots yellow stars! Now anyone can find treasure.

The librarian taped the map by the library door. “Thanks to Wangnuni, our library became a treasure island!”
